toothache

culled from:pulse.ng
Anyone who has experienced toothache will tell you that the pain is excruciating. Its described as mind numbing pain.
Most people, when experiencing toothache, may find it hard to do anything for themselves. It’s usually that bad. These tips make use of items that are usually within reach in your home.
So what can we do to avoid having to go through this kind of pain? Here are some options:
Salt Water: Dentists prescribe this even after a tooth extraction. Simply mix a heaping spoon of table salt in a small glass of warm water. Swirl around in your mouth for as long as you can or till it is cold and spit it out. Repeat this for as long as you want. Never swallow the salt water.
Alcohol: this is another common local method of curing toothache. Just swoosh a bit of vodka, whiskey scotch or brandy. Any mouthwash with strong alcohol in it will be as effective also.
Garlic: Take a clove of garlic and mash it. Apply it gently (settle it inside the cheek). You can also mash some garlic with salt.
Peppermint leaf: chew on fresh peppermint leaves. You can also chew on dried leaves; just hold them in place (where it hurts).
Potato: Potato is delicious but can also serve as a medicine for tooth ache. Just cut a bit of potato with the skin off and hold it in place. You can also pound the potato, mix it with salt and use the mash
Onion: Slice a piece of fresh onion and hold it in your mouth. The onion must be freshly cut to provide some onion juice.
