At first, it’s sweet to see your boyfriend get jealous when another man talks to you. However, the act gets old fast. When you can’t mention one of your male friends to him without him flipping out about it, something needs to be done. Here is some crucial advice on how to deal with a jealous boyfriend.
Healthy relationships consist of two people who trust each other. If your boyfriend gets jealous whenever a guy has an innocent conversation with you, it means that he’s worried about you leaving him. It’s nice that he cares about keeping you in his life, but he needs to learn how to trust you if he wants the relationship to last. Unfortunately, you aren’t in control of his actions and can only make your own decisions.
That’s why there are only a few ways to deal with an overly jealous boyfriend:
1. Introduce Him to Your Male Friends

If he’s jealous whenever you go out with a group of male friends, then invite him along next time! Let him get to know them so that he stops feeling threatened by them. Once he realizes that they treat you like their sister instead of a potential fling, he should stop worrying about you being unfaithful.
2. Tone it Down
Do you give him any reasons to be jealous? If you’re always commenting on hot guys on television and eyeing strangers on the street, there’s no wonder as to why he’s so jealous. You shouldn’t be disrespectful to him by doing things that you know will upset him. I know it’s hard to avoid staring at a cutie’s butt, but you’re going to have to keep your eyes off other guys. Besides, try stepping into his shoes- Would you like it if he was always commenting on and looking at other girls? Probably not.3. Figure Out Why
Do you know why your boyfriend gets jealous so easily? If he was cheated on in the past, you have to remind him that you’re nothing like his ex and that he can’t blame you for things that she did. If he’s insecure about his own looks, then make sure to compliment him more often so he realizes just how gorgeous he is.4. Compromise
Does he only get jealous when you talk to a certain guy? If he has a good reason for his worries, then you might have to end your friendship with that guy. You don’t want to leave behind close friends, but if the guy is someone you used to date or sleep with, then your boyfriend has a right to be concerned about you talking to him. You have to understand where he’s coming from.5. Overload of Affection

When you’re at a party with a bunch of men around, make sure to pay special attention to your boyfriend. You don’t need to be attached to his hip, but you should be talking to him more than other men. If you ignore him in order to strike up a conversation with a hot guy, your boyfriend’s jealousy will be worse than ever.
6. Explain the Situation to Friends
If your boyfriend’s jealous of a certain friend, talk to that friend. Tell them that they shouldn’t be overly touchy or flirty when your boyfriend is around. You might even have to ask them to text you less. That way, you won’t have to leave the friend behind, but your boyfriend will be happier.7. Make Rules
He can’t expect you to avoid talking to other men when he has tons of female friends. If his jealousy is unreasonable, you should sit down to talk and to lay down some rules that you’ll both have to follow. That way, at least you’ll be held to the same requirements and things won’t be unfair.8. Cut it Out
If you’ve already tried being nice and it hasn’t worked, it’s time to get mean. Tell him that his behavior is unacceptable and that he needs to change if he wants to continue dating you. It’ll sound harsh, but it’s the truth. You can’t stay with someone who constantly smothers you with their jealousy issues.9. Therapy

See if he’ll agree to go to therapy alone or ask him to attend couple’s therapy with you. Either way, it should help him work out his issues. Sometimes a professional will be able to tell him something about himself that he’s never realized before and the situation will be all fixed up before you know it.
10. Break Up
If he’s not willing to change his behavior and you aren’t willing to change your behavior, the only thing left to do is break up. You can’t continue a relationship when you know you’re both unhappy. It’ll hurt to break his heart, but sometimes moving on is the best thing for the both of you.Jealousy is a normal emotion, so don’t blame your boyfriend for feeling it occasionally. However, if it gets out of hand, you need to take action. You can’t have a healthy relationship if he’s always yelling at you for associating with the male gender.
