It is important to keep the body in great shape, making sure the state of our health is top priority. The immune system protects the body from harmful substances. The immune system is the body's defense.
Plant based foods are best consumed as healthy food option. They are best as they are in their natural state, unrefined  and organic and work to keep the body agile. We can go on and on about them but in the end we know natural foods are the best.
Today on Pulse Daily, we are discussing 7 plant based foods that boost immunity.
1. Garlic
Stimulates the immune cells, which fight viral, fungal, and bacterial infections. To iclude garlic your daily intake chop fresh garlic and allow to stand for 10 minutes and then cook it, sprinkle it over foods, drop it into soup, or swallow bits of garlic with some water like a pill. You can also drop a clove of garlic into some honey and swallow it immediately for a quick dose that tastes really good!
2. Onions.
They contain a nutrient that breaks up mucus in the head and chest while boosting the immune system. . Consuming raw onion within a few hours of the first symptoms of a cold for instance produces a strong immune effect. Onions also increase blood circulation.
There is a weird tip for onion you should try; Put half an onion in your bedroom while you sleep, this report claims can help absorb some of the circulating bacteria and potentially lessen the symptoms of cold.
3. Ginger
Ginger reduces fevers, soothes sore throats, and encourages coughing to remove mucus from the chest. Ginger is also extremely helpful for stomach aches, nausea, and headaches, include ginger into your diet.
If you feel sickly slice some fresh ginger root, place it into a pot with water, and bring to boil. Then drop in a bit of lemon juice, this helps to nourish and purify your system.
4. Kale
Like every leafy green vegetable, Kale is rich in vitamin E. It contains immune boosting antioxidants responsible for increasing the production of B cells tat kills unwanted bacteria.
You can eat Kale raw in a salad or steam it.
5. Citrus fruits
The best way to enjoy citrus fruits is to eat them whole. Otherwise, you can make fresh juice out of them. They are packed with vitamin C, fruits like oranges and grapefruits help increase your body’s resistance to nasty invaders
6. Green Tea
Sipping a hot cup of green tea when you’re feeling under the weather can really help you come alive again. Try adding some honey or lemon to kick it up a bit. It is a great source of anti-oxidants.
