Hand model nails
culled from:pulse.ng

Here are tips from models and other pros, how use healthy nails as a trade secret. You really want to listen to these pros, they obviously know their stuff.
HAND MODEL
Adele Uddo is a hand model for Christian Louboutin nail polish, Starbucks, and Dior.
Do your hands need to be camera-ready 24/7? "Pretty much. You need good skin tone, nice nail beds, and to be able to chop that tomato or open that mascara wand in a graceful way".
What's your favorite look? "Nudes are ideal for castings since clients want to see what my nails look like without color. One of my favorites is Essie nail polish in Sheer Bliss, a pinkish nude. It's superversatile and clean, and it looks great on any skin tone."
How do you keep your hands looking good? "I've had long, strong nails since I was a little girl. I think that's hereditary, but I also take calcium and an organic sulfur supplement called MSM [methylsulfonylmethane] that I believe helps maintain nail and hair health".
"My routine varies by season and climate. For winter in New York City, I use heavy-duty moisturizer like Weleda Skin Food. When I visit my family in humid New Orleans, I use a lighter lotion or I look like I've been dropped in oil."
NAIL-ART MANICURIST
Elissa Schell is a manicurist at Paintbox in New York City.
What's your favorite look? "I usually keep my nails long and almond-shaped. At the moment, I'm wearing this amazing holographic silver foil that you can get at Paintbox. But there are also times I like a solid pink nude, like OPI Nail Lacquer in Tickle My France-y."
How do you keep your hands looking good? "I always put on Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Oil before bed. When you're asleep, you're not washing your hands or anything, so the oil has a better chance of really absorbing into your skin."
CASINO DEALER
Maxine King is a table-games dealer at Marquee Night and Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
How does your manicure affect your work? "My nails have to look nice, and they have to be a certain length to be functional. Players are focused on my hands. I deal and shuffle cards and cut chips. If my nails are too long, that gets challenging."
What's your typical look? "At previous jobs, I was required to wear a French manicure. Now I can wear pretty much any polish color I want, even some nail art, but nothing too crazy. I keep my nails short and play around with different colors. In my line of work, manicures chip easily, so I'm obsessed with Sephora Formula X nail polish. It's very durable. I change it a lot, but always go back to black, white, or pink."
How do you keep your hands looking good? "I'm constantly touching chips and money at work, so I always have Bath & Body Works Pocketbac Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel with me. On breaks, I apply EOS Every Day Hand Lotion. And I use Bath & Bodyworks True Blue Spa Just a Minute 60-Second Manicure Hand Scrub every day. It makes my hands really soft."
