How often do you hesitate or pull back on something you are going to say or do because you're afraid you will either be criticized or judged negatively for it? This tendency to check yourself is especially destructive when that which you want to do or express is your inner truth.
Expressing one's truth is essential to feeling like one exists and is fully alive. Not doing so is a living death. Being afraid to do so often is associated with feelings of self doubt, anxiety, low self confidence, feelings of inadequacy, shame, fears of ridicule or embarrassment, frustration, paralysis and so on.
So what can be done to remedy this fear of criticism so that one can live and express themselves fully and confidently?
First, one must recognize that the problem exists and then step up to the plate, so to speak and internally express a desire to get rid of it once and for all. This can be done by asserting such a desire as if speaking through one's heart.
Secondly, it is important to recognize that this fear is supported and anchored into your mind and body i.e. conditioned into you, as a result of numerous early memories of times when you were actually judged or criticized. These memories act as what I have called "emotional landmines" that "go off" with emotionally painful explosions whenever something in your daily life triggers them.
The things that trigger them are those events when you are going to express yourself and you anticipate a repeat of negative past experiences. So it's like walking around an emotional mine field feeling very anxious.
Finally, such explosive memories must be diffused permanently if you ever hope to have any inner peace. A process called the Mind Resonance Process® (MRP) helps one do just this by literally "erasing" them from the "hard drive" of your unconscious mind as if they were never there.
In so doing the normal daily triggers of potential criticism actually will no longer be perceived by you as such any more. This is what I call developing "emotional resilience". Another way of saying this is that you will no longer be affected by things you were affected by before.
The first time you experience this it will occur spontaneously and may actually catch you by surprise as you find yourself reacting in a much stronger and positive way that will feel uncharacteristic of how you have known yourself. This new positive reaction is often met with delight and enthusiasm afterwards.
