Steps
1
Get a group. (B)
- This pretty much means find some friends, and start a small group that meet every other Saturday, every Wednesday, etc. If you are in college/school, this will work for your friends a lunch/break/before school/etc.
-
2Find something interesting to do. (B)
- This means, find something to "hook" your friends:
- Video games, like Rock Band, or Guitar Hero could be an option.
- If you and your friends like tabletop roleplaying, try that.
- If you and your friends like simplistic roleplaying (everything about tabletop roleplaying except without the tabletop), try that.
- These are just examples. Try anything that you and your friends like.
- This means, find something to "hook" your friends:
-
3Always try something new. (I)
- This means you should have different twists that occur.
- Meaning, for example, if you have a simplistic roleplaying group, why not try and make it so that Event X happens before Event Y when Event Y is supposed to happen after Event X.
- This means you should have different twists that occur.
-
4Accept ideas. (I)
- This means that if your friend says, "Hey, what if the sword was yellow rather that green?", you should take it into mind and if you like it, change the thing immediately, or add it later.
-
5Merge basic foundations. (A)
- Remember at the top where it said try XYZ to start your group. Basically that, but merge it with your current foundation.
- Example, Rock Band based group merges with tabletop roleplaying.
- Remember at the top where it said try XYZ to start your group. Basically that, but merge it with your current foundation.
-
6Add little 'extras'. (A)
- Basically, maybe write a newsletter for your group, make an inside joke based idea, etc, etc.
-
7Do every mainstream thing possible. (B)(I)(A)
- When it's in your group, do it.
- Example, the newsletter.
- Example, the merge.
- Example, adding members.
- When it's in your group, do it.
