smoothies

culled from:pulse.ng

Did you know that most of our enjoyable meals that come in liquid, paste or frozen form can also come in powdered form? Powder form makes it very convenient for you to mix it up with anything or make into a bater to bake.
This is basically a list of some every day foods that we never knew come in powdered form.
The idea here is to create awareness about these foods in powdered form and give little suggestions on how they can be mixed up and used effectively for best results.
Peanut butter: Powdered peanut butter is great with smoothies, oatmeal and yogurt.
Yogurt: You can obviously add this to smoothies, but powdered yogurt is also the perfect substitute for sour cream when making dips, dressings and sauces;
Kale: Sprinkle kale powder into sauces, salads, omeletes and smoothies; Go for raw organic kale powder straight from the factory.
Honey: Use powdered honey instead of artificial sweeteners in hot or cold drinks, sprinkle on top of nuts before roasting or use in dry rubs for meat.
Fruits and veggies: Instead of battling with your fresh fruits and vegetables, and racing against time to preserve, get them in a convenient powder that can be added to sweet and savory dishes alike.
Cricket: As shocking as it is, it is actually very nutritious. Use cricket protein powder in protein shakes and the flour for a myriad of recipes
