Have you ever cherished the dream of owning a hotel for which people would stand in line to reserve rooms or seats? Have you thought about the time when people would associate your hotel’s interiors with an architectural phenomenon so that your hotel turns into an architectural landmark? Well if yes is the answer to the above questions and if interior designing is not your forte, here are some tips that you could follow to make your interiors plush and customer friendly.

Lighting

Lighting is one of the very important factors to be kept in mind while designing the interiors of your hotel. When you are designing a hotel, the lighting arrangements need to be in sync with the tone and the theme of the hotel as well as its surroundings.

There are a large number of lighting arrangements that can be done in the lobby, corridors, and the rooms and suites in the hotel.

Central ceiling lights are not much in fashion today as they condense the feel of the room.

There could be other techniques such as a closet light that turns on automatically as soon as the door is opened, reading lights that could be set at the bedside, dimmer controls on every light, a make-up light preferably in the washroom and wall sconces that could be attached in the corridor.
Hotel interiors Flooring

Flooring is the next step in the interior designing process.

Designer rugs could be used right in the centre of the reception area in order to attract the guests. In case of corridors, you could always have carpets that are not so expensive and could withstand a lot of traffic and movement.

There are many companies which offer wooden floorings which could perhaps pinch your pockets but could take your interior designing to a whole new level. Wooden floorings made from sustainable wooden chips are also an effective option and they are perfect insulators as well.
Furnishing

Furniture is a part of the interior design package deal that has the potential to attract a lot of accolades from different customer bases. The selection of the furniture is entirely based on the theme and the tone of the hotel.

If the hotel overlooks a sea-side area, then the furniture are seen to be very informal and in perfect sync with the theme of the hotel. However in different surroundings, elegant chairs could be fitted that is not only good looking but comfortable as well.

You could always incorporate furniture that stand out from the rest and could deliver an ancient-gothic look to the entire structure.
Selection of colours for the walls

Last, but not the least, the selection of colours on the walls is an important job at hand. While going out for shopping for purchasing colours for the interior walls, it should match the look, tone and the theme of the hotel.

People often make the mistake of painting their walls in a colour that does not go along with the rest of the settings. Lighter shades and hues are normally preferred for hotel interiors. You could even do an intelligent mixing of paints to give an artistic and innovative look.

Do not make the mistake of falling into the league of those hotels that do a shoddy patchwork of their interiors without thinking out of the box. Remember that the choices you make could make a significant influence on the business that you do as well.
