Steps
1
Think of a topic. What
will you talk about today? Every conversation has a subject, or topic.
Some of the popular conversation topics are; music; opinions; "Have you
ever...?" sentence starters and topics; shopping; clothes; sports;
marriage; and children.
2
Start off your conversation with something interesting. It can be varied to a particular subject, or can just randomly categorized.
3
Keep eye contact. You
want to let the person talking know that you are paying full attention
so this is quite important. Don't let your eyes wander around the
environment you are in because it looks like you are bored and
disinterested in the conversation.
4
Do not interrupt them. It seems like your in a hurry to say what you want to say but you do not care about what they are saying.
5
Answer in the best detail you can give.
Answering questions by "yes" or "no" can be quite bland. Give your
opinion on a subject and analysis and evidence. It shows you are taking
an interest in the subject.
6
Do not grunt in substitution of an answer. It makes you seem lazy and the recipient of your conversation may take offence.
