Achieving good grades and accomplishing your homework accurately and correctly takes not just, hard work, dedication, and organization... but a good homework environment. Slouching on your comfy big recliner, with your notebook in your lap, cell phone in hand, and television running is NOT a proper homework environment. Follow this step-by-step guide to creating a proper and efficient homework environment.

Steps

Find an absolutely quiet room for your homework, unless focus is easier for you with sound. Your bedroom is the most suggested environment, but a cluttered bedroom will reduce your spirits to do homework. So, another option is the dining room. Big, spacey and fairly live, befitting in not making your lonely, bored or frustrated with your homework.

Locate a desk, or put one in your chosen "Quiet room. Remember, the reason why we suggested the Dining Room is because of the massive table (On usual terms) that will allow lots of space. Don't have a desk that is weak and weary. It doesn't need to be brand new, but it should be sturdy and strong with a smooth surface. If your are more comfortable working in your bedroom, make sure you have a big desk to work on, one that you can spread out all your work on. I cannot stress how important a neat desk is. If it is cluttered and messy when you sit down to do your homework, you may be overwhelmed and get unmotivated, so after your done working, clean it up, so the next day its clear and fresh.

Always have a handy-dandy encyclopedia on your work space. If you are using the dining room, pull one chair out, and use the chair seat for you books, such as the encyclopedia. If you have a desk in your bedroom, stack the books at the corner of the desk, or install shelves.

Have a Dictionary. Another addition to your "Stack of Books" is the dictionary. Dictionaries are inexpensive and are greatly useful for writing reports, essays and research projects.

Plop a thesaurus right on top of your dictionary. Believe it or not, most kids use the thesaurus MORE than the dictionary because it is more effective and can make essays fluent, engaging and exciting! Get a Thesaurus now!

Scribble Book. Sometimes, your trying to figure out a super difficult math question, and your just writing all over your math notebook. To make sure you notebook stays organized, keep a separate, as I like to call it, "Scribble Book," Its a mini-notebook where you can scrawl your brainstorms down. It doesn't need to be neat and organized, just something to get your thoughts down. Its very useful during homework time.
