1. Volunteer to take the table of the old couple who always leave 10% but are so sweet that you don’t mind.

2. Have your apron stocked with singles and fives so anytime someone needs to break a twenty, you’re all, “I got that.”

3. Ask the kitchen crew if they need refills on their waters and sodas because you understand how hot it is back there.

4. Be that one server that everyone can depend on to cover their shift or stay late for them because you’re cool like that.

5. Show up early to work one day and do the sidework for someone else.

6. Bring the whole staff some donuts and when they ask you why, just say, “because I love you guys.”

7. When someone covers your shift for you, don’t just thank them with words. Thank them with cash.

8. Always have a smile on your face but a genuine one, not the creepy forced smile that everyone else is wearing.

9. Buy yourself some of those cool cushion inserts for your shoes but buy an extra pair and give it to one of your co-workers with a note that says, “My soul cares about your soles.”

10. Seriously, just respect your co-workers, do your job well, and don’t cause any drama because you want to like the people you work with and you want them to like you.
