Steps
1
Apply foundation before commencing with the following steps. The lighter the foundation, the better.-
2Purchase or obtain a large-sized make-up brush. Using the brush, dust baby powder all over your face, neck, and arms. The aim of doing this is to achieve a pale, almost sickly, powdered 18th century look. In the age of Marie Antoinette, it was fashionable to be extremely pale. A really white powder tone would be suitable for replicating this appearance.
-
3Apply dark brown eyeshadow on your eyebrows. Do this with an angled makeup brush, as it works best for creating dramatic arches.
-
4Swipe on taupe or a very light colored eyeshadow. Follow this across your eyes in a crescent shape, placing it above the creases of your eye, to contour your eyes.
-
5Swipe on one coat of black mascara on the upper lashes. Another way to achieve this look in a way that appears much more dramatic, is to use fake lashes.
-
6Use a deep plum powder on the apples of your cheeks. This will highlight the cheeks with a sense of a blush, particularly effective over the pale white base.
-
7Use a small-sized makeup brush for adding the lipstick. Start at the center of your mouth and blend it out to soften the edges. Make sure that the lipstick is red, as this provides the most stark and effective contrast with the white base.
