Calculate how many steps you generally walk on an average day.-
2Add about 1,000 steps per day on weekdays to your normal walking routine.

3Add about 2,000 steps per day on weekends to your normal walking routine.

4Schedule at least 2 nights each week that you will go on a walk or jog. Your walk or jog should be at least 4,000 steps, or two miles.

5Park in the back of parking lots so that you have to walk to where you are going.

6Avoid elevators and take the stairs!
