Steps
1
Familiarize yourself with the basics of a home-based small business.
Entrepreneurship can be a bit risky, but it can also be beneficial.
Google 'homemade soap for sale' or 'homemade soaps' for a general idea
of what it is like. Soap making has low start up costs, depending on
your business product range, detail, and quality.
2
Make your own soap.
You can either start from scratch using products like lye, beeswax, or
oils (coconut, olive, etc), or you can buy basic soap blocks from craft
or soap-making stores and finish it off. The latter is easier, but
making soap from scratch can have its own benefits as well. See the
Related wikiHows section below for articles about making your own soap,
and try checking out books at your local library on soap-making or
buying them online or at craft stores.
3
Sell your soap. The best way to sell it is at farmer's or local markets, wholesale to local spas or salons, on the web,
or through people. Differentiation is the key here; it makes your
business stand out from competitors, and you will get business.
I think branding of products will make one's business stand out too.... and ofcourse an efficient Saponification process
