We all know those annoying reddish swellings you
wake up to most nights. Mosquito bites! Yes! Those swellings can be as
annoying as the insects themselves, if not more.
We
usually can’t stop itching and end up leaving scars on our beautiful
skin. What if we told you that you could get rid of them as soon as you
notice them, right there in your very home?
The
most important part though is to try as hard as possible, not to scratch
it, no matter how badly you want to. You must remember to cover up if
mosquitoes are completely unavoidable.
As preventive measures, make use of insecticides, repellents, and mosquitoes nets, as is to your preference,
5 remedies for mosquito bites
Salt: Make a paste of salt and water, apply to affected area, leave for 3 minutes. Rinse off with Lukewarm water.
Ice: simply apply ice to affected areas.
Alcohol:
Dab some alcohol unto a swab of cotton wool. Apply to affected area.
Thus might stung a bit at first, but relief is almost instant.
Aleovera:
Cut out the meaty portion of the aloe vera stalk, squeeze the paste
into a container. Keep in the refrigerator to cool then apply on the
affected area. Rinse off with cold water.
Toothpaste:
Pepper mint toothpastes work best for this method. Simply apply a small
amount of toothpaste on the affected area. Leave it to dry out for
about 10 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water.
