work out

culled from:pulse.com

There is no denying that losing weight is hard work, setting a goal to lose any amount of weight whether it be 5 pounds or 25 pounds takes a level of commitment that is no joke.
There are many aspects that go into maintaining the healthy lifestyle you strive for, so when you hear an easy way out, it may be tempting to take it.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way out as nothing good comes easy.
  1. No Diets - Whether it’s the grapefruit diet, the soup diet, the chocolate diet, just stay away. The stranger it sounds the less likely you should be doing it to your body. Many of these diets gain popularity because they work for the short term but they can’t be done forever. Once people stop the diet they gain the weight back and often end up heavier than when they started.
  2. Get Snacking - Most people like to snack throughout the day. You do it because you’re bored, because you’re stressed because you just want to break up your work day. Then when people want to lose weight they think they need to cut out these snacks. The problem is that this can make you break down and choose unhealthy snacks or overeat at meals. So keep plenty of fruits, veggies and protein packed snacks around. You’ll see and feel the difference with this change right away.
  3. Remove Temptation - If you cook your meals at home and often find yourself going back for seconds, just remove that temptation. Once you have served all the meals, get out your containers and pack away the leftovers. Put them in the fridge. Not only are they out of sight but they will be too cold to be appetizing. This simple tip can really make a difference over time.
  4. Drink Water - This weight loss tip is repeated over and over and over again. But it’s important so we’re going to repeat it too. Water not only helps with cravings and feeling full, but it is essential for good health. If you find yourself not in the mood for drinking tons of water, you can always infuse some fresh fruit or cucumbers to add another dimension to the water. The more water you drink the better you will feel.
  5. Change Up Your Workout - Don’t do the same workout every day. If you have a workout that you love and keeps you motivated, stick with it. However, if you are someone that is working out to lose weight and does not really enjoy it (yet!), then switch it up. Keep trying different workouts from aerobics to dance to weight training to running until you find something that does keep you happy and motivated. Don’t feel like you have to stick to just one thing to lose the weight.
